Ocean seabass catches continue to be excellent with limit catches. Citation size fish are caught every trip. While open bottom fishing has been what most boats are doing I still like to catch them on a wreck. There seems to be fewer small fish on wrecks and then there's an occasional tog to keep things interesting. Seatrout fishing in the bay has really come to life. Bottom rigs with squid and bucktails work equally well. Best catches continue to come from structure. Andy Duncan and the folks from Strut Company had a fine catch of trout up to four pounds on a recent trip with a four pound flounder that took a bait intended for seatrout. It seems that it is bachelor party season. We just had the third one in two weeks on the Grizzly. This time it was for Dave Riddell. No dancing girls or heavy drinking, just some good hard fishing. The guys came home with a nice catch of seatrout and six decent sized tog that took bucktails intended for the trout. Damian Marcinisyn hosted the trip along with John Tickle, RG Blevins, Joe and Jim Joachimowshi, Dan Saienna and Erich Selhorst all from the New Castle, De. area.
