Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all that have served our country! Drum fishing has been excellent this Memorial Day weekend once again. Black Drum fishing should remain good thru at least early June. We have had our first flounder come over the rails which is a good sign for the summer. Seabass are still an option in the ocean and bluefish will be an option as well.

Kevin, Sara and Hunter George and friends had an enjoyable evening of drum fishing weeding thru the sand sharks to harvest three drum. Greg Crone and crew joined us next and the drum fishing was pokey so we did a little mixed trip and wound up with one nice drum and kept three of nine flounder. Ray Fisher and friends joined us that evening and once again we had to weed thru the sharks to harvest three drum. The following morning Ray and friends were back and the cold front still had not arrived so we headed up the bay again after the drum. We were off to a great start harvesting five nice drum to 67lbs at the arrival of the front. With the winds gusting to 40 knots we did the smart thing and headed home back down the bay before the tide changed. Bruce Chesney and friends were able to switch days and we got perfect weather and harvested five nice drum up to 65lbs. Berry and Barb Warner joined us next for a half day trip and just when it looked like the trip was going to come together, it fell apart and we flew the skunk. They did however catch one of the biggest cow nose sting rays we have ever seen which had us all thinking this might be the big one.

John Joswick got the Memorial Day weekend started off right harvesting six nice drum up to 67lbs and releasing nine more for a total of 16 in the afternoon. Paul Sciedinski and family kept things going the next afternoon harvesting six more releasing seven more for a total of 14 drum. Wilbert Harris and family joined us next and for some reason we couldn't get the numbers going but still wound up with a handful of drum to 68lbs.

We only have a couple of dates available for the rest of this drum season, so if you have missed out we are already booking for 2010. We still have plenty of dates available for the summer for flounder, seabass, croakers, etc so give us a call if you would like to get out. Thanks
