Tog fishing is off to a great start for early March and based on the amount of bait around the mouth of the bay we should have a good spring striper season as well. We have seen more bait and gannets just outside the mouth of the bay than we have seen in a many years. With the mild weather we took advantage of things and put the boat back in the water.

With cabin fever setting in Alex, Billy, Bob, Mike, Kenny, Alan and Skeeter joined us for our first trip. With temperatures topping out in the low 50's it wound up being the perfect cure. The group wound up harvesting half a limit of nice tog including two fish over seven pounds and Alan's release of a 9lb 12oz tog. The following day Star Lee and friends came down from New York for a day of tog fishing and had a near limit catch of tog up to 7lbs.

We still have three dates left in March for anyone wanting to get in on some good tog fishing March 20,21,27. We are also booking striper and tog trips in April and will have some black drum mixed in by the end of April. We have a few weekend dates left in April and May so don't wait to long if you're looking to get out this spring.
