Tog fishing is in full swing and the first fall stripers are being caught. Both of these tasty game fish should be available thru the new year. Trolling and chunking have been the method of take of the first stripers of the year. As the water temperatures drop into the mid 50's striper fishing in the rips will turn on using eels, spot, and our favorite buck tails.

Dan Clark and friends joined us for a day of tog fishing. The guys did an excellent job putting a nice limit catch of tog on the boat. After a day off due to wind we were back at it with Mike Weaver and friends. Mike and crew put another nice limit catch of tog in the boat. Ray Fisher and friends joined us the following day and mother nature kept us from the good fishing so we came in early on a half day.

Alex Levantowsky and the all star crew were back at it next with a near limit catch of tog to 8 lbs. Following another blow day Alex and the guys were back at it. This time they made short work of a nice limit including several over 7lbs. Alex himself had a 8 lb 8 oz tog. Dan Varnes and the guys from Varnes hardwood flooring were along for a day of tog fishing. Well the wind and rain showed up for us and we called it a day early as the fishing wasn't much better than the weather. Bob Williams and the guys from CMC Engineering joined us next for a day of tog fishing. We tried several different locations but never got the tog biting well.
