With mother nature forcing the cancellation of our last offshore trips it was time to get that gear off the boat as fall fishing is beginning to shape up. Tog fishing is already showing good results with the water already cooler than the past several falls.
Paul Hall and family joined us on less than favorable conditions and we returned home early with our tail between our legs. Andrew Cottone and friends joined us next catching a mixed bag of fish including seabass, croakers, and blowfish.
September 29 marked the opening of tog season and Tim Carwell and friends were willing to give it a shot for their half day trip. We started off slow but finished strong with a nice catch of tog and triggerfish. Jason Clark and friends also had a nice day of tog fishing and caught four triggerfish as well. Alex Levantowsky and the all star crew did not let us down and despite tough conditions had a nice catch of tog and triggerfish. Bob Witte had the big fish of the day award at 6.64lbs and Alex Levantowsky had a 6.14lb tog as well. These fish are currently first and second place in the Lewes Harbour Marina October Tog Tournament.
