We would like to thank everyone for a great 2007 season and a good start to the 2008 season. It sure didn't feel like winter today as we pulled the boat with the temperature in the low 70's. We will be up in the yard till March 15th when we will resume Tog and Striper fishing. This will probably be the last winter lay up we will do with the boat with these mild winters as we can still bring home the bacon this time of year.
Michael Hevner and friends joined us December 18th and had and excellent catch of stripers harvesting nine along with several throw backs. The next day we had a flop of a trip with Marty Lockhart and friends just releasing a couple of stripers. Tom Casner and friends joined us next and we had a wind and tide drift in excess of three knots to start things off. We found a way to over come the odds and harvested one striper and threw back ten. They took my advice at slack tide and we went on to finish the day up with 21 nice tog. The following day my regular all star crew joined us
for a day of tog fishing. The 10 -15 northeast turned out to be 15-20 with higher gusts so we had to settle with just 10 keepers for the day.
Bob Klem and friends joined us on December 27 for two days of tog fishing. The morning of the 27th we left the dock in calm conditions with a 9 foot ground swell. The guys persevered and despite the deck stacked against us we harvested 29 tog. The following morning we had slick flat calm conditions and Bob and the guys put it to them harvesting and eighty fish boat limit by 11 am along with a nice 8 lb release for Pat. After one more weather day the all stars joined us again on the 30th for a year end tog trip. The guys harvested an eighty fish limit by noon including fish of 9
lb 4 oz for Mike Junk, 8 lb 8 oz for Alex Levantowsky, and a 7 lb 12 oz for Mike as well.
After mother natures New Years blow we were back at it on January 4th with the Bad Boyz Fishing Club. The water sure had cooled off but the fishing was just fine harvesting 37 keepers to 7 lbs. The guys from IG Burton Truck shop joined us next and harvested 39 tog along with a 11 lb 12 oz release by yours truly. Thanks again for the great crock pot of Chili Roger. The all star crew were back at it for our last two trips. Sunday we couldn't get a good bite going but did harvest 13 nice fish and had two releases of 12 lb 12 oz and 12 lb 4 oz for Bob Wittie. Monday we harvested 32
keepers to 8 lb 8 oz for Bob Wittie. The 2008 season is looking good so if you would like to book a trip or just need more information give us a call.
