Sorry for the delay in the reports this time. We fought an intermittent problem over the course of 14 days which wound up being caused by a bad gauge harness. Things are back to normal and we even had the engines checked by the computer at top end while the problem was occuring and they are fine.
Croaker fishing has been consistant with some real pretty 2lb fish in the catches by the end of August. Flounder fishing has continued to be a tough nut to crack with the 19 1/2" size limit. Andy Duncan did catch our first angler limit of Flounder including two over five lbs. The offshore bite has continued to be slow so far with the only exception being some nice catches of dolphin. Steve Henry did land a 139lb bluefin in eight minutes on our last overnight trip. The guys also released one similar in size as well.
Hopefully tropical storm Hanna will help the night bite for tuna and swordfish. Despite seeing plenty of croakers on the fish finder yesterday, we only managed a couple dozen fish. Thanks again to all that have joined us and our apologies to those few trips that we had to cancel due to the intemittent engine alarms.
