The black drum fish have started biting with this new moon. As more of these fish finish there spawn the bite should only get better. We are looking forward to some good seabass fishing with his weekends opening. Flounder fishing should also get started in the bay waters by months end as well. We will also be offering some catch and release shark fishing trips in the bay in June as well. These are big sharks close to home at a great price.
Dan McDermott and friends joined us for a afternoon black drum trip. Dan started things catching an 83 lb drum fish to start us off. We went on to catch four more for the afternoon. We spent the last two hours trying to get clear of the sharks to get a bite but all we did was listen to them drumming. The following evening Greg Crone and friends joined us for some drum fishing as well. We were off to a great start catching five black drum in the first hour. Then the tide quit and all we did was listen to them swimming around the boat. We did catch one more fish on the next tide while listening to them drumming under the boat. One of the members of the charter thought we had a recording so he googled it and found out that they really do "drum while in the water".
Give us a call or send us an email if you would like to get out catching. By the way if you haven't been out with us before that is all you have to do as we take care of everything else including baiting hooks!
