Click Here For Fishing Report Archives Tog fishing has been the mainstay of our fishing the month of April. We never got a chance to give the stripers a try but we still might get a shot of them early this month. The first of the black drum fish arrived last week and there have been a few caught hook and line as well. Tog fishing will be an option thru the May 12 seasonal closure. We will begin targeting the big black drum real soon. Flounder have also made a good showing already in the shallow waters. Seabass will reopen for us May 22 this month as well. Bernie Smelstoys and friends had our first spring limit of tog and a nice bonus codfish as well. Dave Pointek and family gave tog fishing a try as well and had a limit catch of tog including plenty of short action. Mother nature gave us the two weekends off. J. R. Rentz and the guys from DP&L had a nice day on the water. We tried hard to get a limit of tog but conditions didn't allow us to finish it off. Jim Skymba and friends had our options limited a little by some rough weather. We found some good tog action but mother nature forced us to move to another location. Despite our best efforts weeding thru several shorts we didn't make a limit. Next, we had a Bachelor party trip for Chris Rentz and family. What a difference a day can make as J.R. who had joined us the previous day found out. We finished off a nice limit catch of tog and they were on their way home with the tasty fillets before dark. Ray Fisher and friends also put together a limit catch of tog the next morning. Prime weekend dates go first so don't hesitate to get it in the books before its taken and Don't forget to take the kids fishing! Capt.
