The fishing continues to be good as we are enjoying some nice weather this spring. The tog fishing is improving daily in the bay and the first wave of stripers are moving up the bay to spawn. We are hoping to see some more striper fishing at the mouth of the bay along with the post spawn fish we see while drum fishing. The first of the black drum have been caught in the bay as well. This Saturday April 24 is available if anyone is interested. Seabass will open May 22.
We took and all star crew up the bay striper fishing the day before Easter. There were no shortage of bites on the day however they bit very light. We did end the day with six nice keepers, but should have had plenty more. That's why they call it fishing we'll get those light biters next time. Next we took a week off for a family vacation.
When we got back we new the striper fishing had slowed down a bit but still wanted to give it a try. John Toomey and family were along and we went looking for the stripers. Realizing we were not going to be successful we did some tog fishing to bend the rods and send them home with some fillets. Jason Kadingo joined us next for his bachelor party. The guys took our recommendation and we went tog fishing and had a limit catch of tog and three nice codfish.
The good tog fishing will continue along with some stripers and black drum fishing as well. Anyone looking to get out should give us a call. We will be doing some make up charters during the week as well. Give us a call to get on the list. Some prime black drum fishing dates are still available as well.
