Tog fishing remains our most consistant action. With water temperatures much higher than normal we are going to see a different spring for sure. Stripers should still be around here and there for the next month and if you find them it is good one day and usually gone the next. There have been several drum fish caught on the ocean front by the folks studying the Atlantic Sturgeon which means we'll see more Black Drum earlier this year for sure. There have already been a few caught hook and line in the bay. Sea bass should be good when the season finally does open as well. We'll see some flounder in the catch by mid May with these water temperatures as well. Don Kopp and friends managed to get two days in a row with us this past weekend. Friday was beautiful and we started with some nice tog then things slowed down. We took a ride and found some more biting fish and the guys finished the day up with a really nice pile of tasty fillets. 26 keepers at a 16" minimum is one big pile of fish! Saturday we were greeted with a fresh breeze but the fish didn't care and these guys did a good job . They put 20 keepers in the box before 11 am at which time the tog quit. We moved a couple times but couldn't get them going again. Remember to take the kids fishing this year! Give us a call if you would like to get out, we would be glad to have you!
