When the weather cooperates the fishing has been just fine. Don Kopp and friends joined us for a day of tog fishing. The fishing started off slow as mother nature made staying put on a piece of structure near impossible. Once we got thing straightened out the guys put together a nice catch of tog and harvested five nice cod fish to top things off.
After a few more days at the dock due to the wind Don Yocum and friends joined us for a day of striper fishing. Things were on the slow side to start with two nice keepers in the box and one that went back when we got the call from a friend. So we pulled up and made a move and it was well worth it. Within about ten minutes we got them biting and within an hour they had a limit catch of nice stripers in the box and were headed home.
The good striper action and tog action should continue thru April and early May. By the end of the month we should start seeing some black drum in the mix as well. Anyone wanting to get out can give us a call as we have dates available including a few weekend this month. We will be putting together a few weekday striper trips this April as well.
