Happy New Year to all. We have put the boat up for the winter and will resume fishing the last week of March. Thanks to all who joined us during the 2011 season, hope to see you all again in 2012. Between the weather and holiday commitments we did not get many days in since the last report. The fishing ranged from as good as it gets to as bad as we had seen it.
Roger Rexrode and the guys from IG Burton had a sloppy fishing trip as mother nature gave us more wind than we asked for. The guys managed some throw back stripers and some flounder which also had to be thrown back. By the way, thanks for the chilli. The All Star toggers joined us next and despite a slow start finished the day with a nice limit of tog up to 8 lbs for Alex Levantowsky. After a couple days off for weather Sam Bednash and friends joined us for a day of striper fishing. Well, we found them and the guys put together a limit catch of stripers up to 26.5 lbs by 8:30. We played catch and release for another hour on a bunch more keeper sized stripers. Marshal Ambrose and family joined us the following day for some tog fishing. Things started off slow and the tog never did bite well but the guys did put together a nice catch including a 9.8lb tog for Marcus Hambrick.
The striper fishing after the Christmas Holiday stunk as the fish that were here had moved down off Ocean City MD. With no more showing up we started the New Year with a good catch of tog up to 7.8 lbs.
Thanks Again to everyone and look forward to fishing with you in 2012. Weekend dates are going fast so don't miss out and remember to take the kids fishing. Have a nice Winter.
